A Busy Month For Everyone

A Busy Month For Everyone

My second week back to college and I figured out the classes aren’t hard just time consuming. You have to take the time to read the material and make sure the projects are done right. A guy in my accounting class told me the material was too hard for him.

WANT,TO HANG OUT(RFTER HOMEWORK?)

WHAT IS "AFTER HOMEWORK’?

If he went to work on a fishing boat like I did when I was his age he would find out what too hard really is.

I didn’t tell him that. Nobody told me to go to Alaska and work double shifts on a fishing boat for months at a time. It was hard work, but I was after the money. My being there was all me.

Besides it’s not like I can still do that job. I’m 50 years old and taking the same class a guy half my age is taking because I got injured. These guys in my classes are the same age as my kids and have no serious injuries.

Sometimes I think they might actually be smarter, or at least have a better thought-process, than me. Since I’m trying to get into a different line of work, it’s probably not a good idea to start talking about what I can’t do anymore.

I got back to the dorm and there were stories on the news about a fight in Syria. There has been fighting in the Middle-East on the news since I was a kid.

I’m not sure what the fighting is about this time, but after we leave, they will probably still be fighting there. Our country getting involved probably won’t make any difference in the long run. It will probably be business as usual.

But what do I know?

Another week has come and gone. President Trump is all over the news. First it was about the bombing of Syria then the people who used to work for him are getting in line to testify against him.

Did he make the right call about joining the attack Brittan and France made, I don’t know. Maybe it’s a waste of time and resources to get involved in the Middle-East and their fighting. Maybe everyone is better off with a few less Bad-Guys. Time will tell.

But when it comes to people who used to work for him wanting to take him to court, I think that’s all him. He’s the one who used to yell YOU’RE FIRED!!!

Not much else is going on. I stopped using Facebook. There was a post going around that in order to keep using Facebook for free you had to re-post the message to at least 18 people in your contacts group.

Mark Zuckerberg is all over the news apologizing for someone else hacking Facebook security and getting access to people from all over the words personal information. What I don’t understand is why the hell do so many people post their personal business on the internet?

That part about these young guys maybe being smarter, or having a better thought process than me - well - I take that back!

Mark, Those youngsters are not smarter or dumber, just from a different time. They've grown up having all the communications stuff you had plus the internet. They do not think like you do because essentially they have never had to be alone and find their way through the world without instantly being able ot be part of a crowd. You will survive and learn because of your experience. Good luck to you.
