Focus On What You Can Do

I was online looking for something to write about.

There were stories about Russia and the EU. I’ve been out of the loop with my old friends who would know what’s really going on behind the scenes for there almost seven years. Since I don’t want to throw logs on a fire I’m going to stay off that subject. I just hope they can sort things out.

Things in Standing Rock haven’t improved. Al Gore issued a statement the protesters there should be protected under the First Amendment. With any luck that will happen. All I know for sure about that situation is My Lakota friends are spending the winter out in the open in North Dakota and going to jail for something they believe in. Hopefully its warmer for them in jail.

With any luck the Lakota can reach an agreement with the oil companies and go home-sooner than later. I wish I could do more than write in my blog about them.

I kept internet surfing and found a link to something called Google Authorship. It looked interesting.

The site had ideas on how to stand out and get a better google rating as a writer. It seems like my hobby to stay busy is getting me some specialized knowledge.

Since I can’t do labor jobs and am going to be taking computer classes, it’s probably a good thing that I’m learning some computer applications. At least I won’t be like someone who’s good in math but can’t solve a word problem.

There were also stories on how both who are running for the presidential race are crooks. The only thing I can say about that is a quote from the movie, Mater and Commander, Far Side of the World.The captain of the ship says, “One Must Always Choose The Lesser Of Two Weevils.”

Since I have little to no influence on the Presidential Race, what’s happening in Standing Rock, or the standoff between the Russians and the EU-I’m going to focus on what I can do and stay busy until the Spring Semester.

My mom is really Christian so for the rest I’m going to borrow a page from her.

She says some things you just have to leave up to God to sort out.

My mom has a lot more faith than me, but I just keep moving. It's what I do.
