Are you a Leader and Don't Know It?
A few years ago I was reviewing my life and wondering whether I could call myself successful. My only child had left home and I was clearly reviewing what impact and value I had delivered on the world at large.
I think this reviewing is especially potent for women as many of the tasks we take on keep the world functioning, yet goes unrecognised and undervalued, by ourselves as much as others.
So my first thought was I needed to find a broader and more relevant way to measure my success, as I had not taken a traditional career path and most of our success pointers are designed for men, not women.
It was at this time I came across this quote...
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." John Quincy AdamsReading this was a light bulb moment for me. Here was a way I could measure my success, value and contribution because I had a lifetime of influencing and inspiring others, even if I didn't have a title as leader to let the world know I was one.

I hope you take a look at your own life and see where you are being a natural and maybe unrecognised leader. Good luck!
