It's a Bit Like When......

it's a bit like when......  
It really feels like winter on a cold morning of December
Causing mutual bother, two lovers avoid looking at each other
If they were to take a moment to reflect, they would undoubtedly stumble on a perfect regret
Besides, If they were to let their emotion run on empty it would not be plain sailing it would be plain silly
Can't afford a one way ticket to animosity city, can't spend a first class upset on honesty

I's a bit like when......
You realize you don't need a start gun to begin the run
If she cant kiss the sun how would she ''catch the moon''  
It' would be like fooling around with a wooden spoon
The question is, how desperate was she to join a new platoon

It's a bit like when.....
You turn to me and say if there is no money there is no journey
But what if I can't pay, can I still participate
Even if it sounds like its too late, can I please beg you not to leave me at the gate

It's a bit like when.....
All the life chores, press or grind, are shaking off your precious mind
Its a bit like you have become obsessed at the idea of being left behind
You say, what if there is nobody else to find

I's a bit like when......

ah Louise Smith I am not sure about talent its a bit more like a song form the Mezingers '' Everybody wants to get famous but you just want to get a dance in the basement''. For the article it is probably all that but once it's out it can be anything people want it to be I have no control over it I cannot be prescriptive, personally I have 4 or 5 interpretations of it. What I can say is that it started when I spotted a couple in a park having a ''come to jesus'' meeting.. thank you for the comment and kind words :-)

Makes me want to make it a song. Have to arrive at something original. It is very easy to jump to a JJ Cale type tune. On second thought JJ Cale is not that easy when it comes to nuances, hard to jump on that. If she cant kiss the sun how would she catch the moon. Unforgettable

I think many people find the idea of being alone scary. "Its a bit like when " you lose someone. Losing love or feeling you'll never find it, two different things yet parallel. Really good piece Pascal Derrien.

gosh you are very good this one has been tricky to write and I had almost 15 versions before this one and it is not still the way I had it in my head. At some point I was very frustrated I could not find the right tune to go with it and then it turned out an irish band had written something almost perfect :-)

Pascal I totally love this piece. It gets down to the ground reality of how relationships most people are obsessed with the idea of being left behind. This is not just when it comes to two people happens everywhere at work, in a competition, on social media, at home people don't want to be left behind. Totally love this. Thank you Pascal Derrien
