This letter would touch your heart
This letter(Image on left and full text below) from a little girl has gone viral. A six-year-old’s letter asking everyone to be treated the same has been celebrated online."Sophie Camilleri’s six-year-old daughter Lex was upset after a girl at school called her nine-year-old brother, Frank, “weird”, Camilleri told BuzzFeed News. “She said he’s not, he has autism. The girl didn’t know what it was…She was confused. Lex said that she had to explain that it was a disability.”
What do we need to learn from this little girl who wrote this letter?
Think of workplace? We are bound to have differently-abled colleagues among us who might need a supporting hand .
How many times we take initiatives to get justice for them, Or at least make sure that we make them feel comfortable?
Life , probably is not fare with all in equal proportion. For some the "struggle" is more and for those lucky few the meaning of the word"struggle" doesn't probably exists. But what we do when we see someone struggling to come up in life..The worst that you could do is demoralize them. ...And the simplest step that helps them ...Just motivate them , and that doesn't cost us anything.
For those suffering and trying to come to terms with the harsh realities of the world all that is required probably is just a pat on the back to enable them to move forward with enough enthusiasm.
This letter from the 6 year old touches my heart .
What is more important is her courage to ask for her brother to be treated with dignity he deserves despite unfortunately being autistic.
What this little girl has also emphasized through her letter is the need for others to develop the right perspective when interacting with differently abled people.
Mostly , We either turn a blind eye to such issues or think that as long as these issues directly doesn't relate to us we are safe and need not worry.
Let us not turn a blind eye and let this letter from the 6 year old be an eye opener for us to take a resolution that we are going to support well our differently abled colleagues and mentor them to come up in life. Isn't that a good thing to do?
Does this letter from a little girl reminds you of anything? #The letter reads:“On Monday I felt very sad because a girl in my class said that my brother was weird.“My brother has autism and is not weird and I would like it if could learn about all disabilities in schools so that everybody understand that some people are different but we should all be treated the same.”Thanks for reading, Appreciate your comments. #NotAllDisabilitiesAreVisible
