“A Horse and It’s Rider”

Have you every heard of the metaphor of the “Horse and it’s Rider”.  Let me explain.  Usually the rider can guide the horse wherever he or she wants it to go, and the horse will follow.  This will easily happen unless the horse doesn’t want to.  For example, If you want to stay on the path, and your horse is thirsty and sees a stream, your horse is going to go off the path to the water no matter how hard you fight.

So, Why do I bring this up?  Look at the picture below.

Our Mind is split into two, the Conscious and Subconscious. Even-though our mind is whole, our conscious mind is like the tip of an iceburg, or “The Rider on the Horse”.  Therefore, your Subconscious is the the 90% of the iceberg and the more powerful of the Metaphor, “the Horse”.
No matter what your goals, if your conscious and subconscious are not in agreement then your subconscious will win.

MIND → HEART → SPEAK → ACTIONS → RESULTS

Look at this diagram.  What goes into my mind, programs my heart, which becomes what I speak, which leads to my actions, and thus my results.  I heard someone say, “Where I am in Life Right Now is the Results of my Best Thinking.”   If I don’t like where I am, I realized that I needed to change something. What was it? The way I was thinking.

How do you change the way you think?  Our Minds are programmed by the People we associate with and the books we read.  The people we associate with is not just are family and friends, yet audio, television, and social media.  Are you filling your mind and heart with negative or positive.  If you watch the News in the Morning do you see positive stories or stories that are depressing.  What books do you read?
I hated to read books and listen to other people for advice til years after college.  So, my mind was already programmed and I always got similar results in everything I did.  I met a person who help me change the way I thought and allowed me to open myself up.  He gave me a book call, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, by Robert Kiyosaki.  I was lazy so I didn’t read the book but I did get the audio.  This audio put new information in my heart and mind that I never heard that made me want more. I later went back I got more, and even read the book.  This was also the first full book I had read since my grade school years.
I could get very excited able a lot of things, but I had a very stubborn “horse” making excuses a of circumstances in my life.  For example, I instead of using where I am in life as a reason to go forward, I was using it as a reason to stay put.  It was like saying, “I can’t exercise because I am not in good shape, instead of I need to exercise because I’m not in good shape.”  It was all in my mind.
The greatest Sale in Life I ever made is when I sold to myself, that I can do it.

You can’t think your way into a new way of  acting, You have to act your way into a new way of thinking.
This may seem contradicting to the diagram, but when you put your actions in right away, you will program yourself. It takes action.
