When Can You Meditate?

When Can You Meditate?

73051b64.jpg

The answer is pretty much any time you want. There is no specific time, or hour of the day that is perfect for meditation. It is like asking when can you call your mother or your father? Your call is welcome any time, because you are loved and want to have a talk with them.

What many of us don't realize is that meditation is not just a technique to reach maximum concentration levels, or just relax. When done right, meditation connects you to a higher power, your inner subconscious, your powerhouse of all knowledge and understanding of the world. Believe it or not, it is all there inside us and you can tap into that library anytime you want.

I have been away from beBee for some time now. Truth be said, I was pursuing something that seemed very critical to me at that time (a month back). Answers to some questions that would certainly answer how life and well-being would progress.

You must have felt that deep restlessness within, even when you have everything you want, materialistic wealth, you have travelled, your family loves you, but something more and it seems like you can have it but not yet. Since, this is not something that you just pick up your phone and order on Amazon, this makes you even more restless. You are looking for fulfillment AND for some one to tell you that whatever you are doing, is right. I am not talking about justifying our actions but something deeper.

Meditation opens up a world of possibilities for you, and when I say world of possibilities, I mean A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES. Imagine a place where everything is pure, everything is possible, there is nothing that can cause you any emotional, mental, or physical trauma. That place exists and it is within you. You don't need a time and place to enter that world. It is up to you. And when you are well-connected to that place and you have opened the door so many times that the door seems to open up by itself ushering you in, while you are doing some mundane daily work, do not ignore it. There is a message awaiting you. Go ahead and explore what it is and how you can address it.

Slipping into that trance is a beautiful feeling. I wish that peace for everyone around me. Those whom I know and also those whom I don't. Let yourself be. Don't be hard on yourself. You deserve peace, happiness, and warmth that the universe sends to us, you just need to open up and accept it.

Thank you for your comment, CityVP 🐝 Manjit. It is good to learn and more people are finding meditation beneficial and pursuing it with an open heart and mind. The benefits of meditation are many and what one draws from it is purely personal. Like you rightly pointed out, it could be for spiritual purposes, as well as. for health & well-being. However, the path to any of the objectives is simple, total relaxation to achieve oneness, that frees you from stress, anxiety, fear, the root cause of all illness. I agree, the best way to have everyone enrolled into this idea is to take the health and wellness approach, a more tangible idea than that of spirituality.

One thing I prefer in discussions about meditation is to separate health and wellness from spiritual orthodoxy. Too often meditation is used as a proxy and acceptance of new age marketers. Meditation as a health benefit would be better served than using it as a doorway into a religious or spiritual belief system. While meditation is now often linked with Eastern spiritualism, meditation exists in Christian circles as well a.k.a. http://theschoolofmeditation.org/content/letter-8-metanoia and viewed as a Christian practice we can clearly see the religious orthodoxy here - but we don't often think the same way when meditation is a front for indoctrination to some form of New Age practice. Pure meditation should be free from a belief bias and totally focused on health and wellness.

There is a noticeable growth in students at our local college finding meditation a necessary avenue to explore, made necessary because of the modern nature of course work coupled with a socially digital culture that provides even less time to switch off, let alone think. In the last month at my student club, the number of speeches or topics about meditation has become increasingly noticeable.

Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee So glad to know that you have experienced the goodness that meditation brings. Being able to connect to an inner and deeper energy source which is so loving and forgiving is a great feeling.

Pascal Derrien, doing things that bring you peace and calm and uplifts your spirits are as good an experience as meditation. These activities bring us clarity, an open mind, and of course happiness beyond everything else. I glad you have found what works best for you, as finding that is often a cumbersome process for mankind. :-)

Proma 🐝 Nautiyal- I experienced mediation once. A visiting mediation team with the lights almost dimmed completely asked the audience to do certain acts. We obeyed and followed the team's instructions. I felt relaxed afterwards and experienced what you wrote "When done right, meditation connects you to a higher power, your inner subconscious, your powerhouse of all knowledge and understanding of the world". I agree with you.
