Why beBee feels like a Home Away From Home?

J be

If you have ever had the feeling of people not "getting you" in the unknown, strange world outside, you must have felt the feeling I am talking about. Even though we might be comfortable finding our own space in a new place or country, we always crave our own home and hearth. The reason being, the sense of belonging and comfort it brings to us.聽

What brings this sense of comfort? Knowing that the people around us know us and understand us. True. But what about the times when it comes to our career? Can we all confidently say that our families actually, totally understand the work we do, our hobbies and interests which align to our work?

I have seen a dad giving a rather disapproving look to a son as the latter happened to be a CEO of a startup and for not holding a more stable job at a government office. The son, on the other hand, was rather happy with the work he was doing and the amount of money he was making in the process. But what is this happiness, if you can't share it with people who are dear to you and close to you?聽

The beBee community with its warm welcome and engagement and its ingenious hive system, brought to us this feeling of comfort and people actually "getting us". I found my own fun hives of content marketing and marketing, and slowly started finding out more interesting hives and people. Where else would I find individuals sharing the same DiSC profile as me without even having to look.聽

Home is the place to learn and grow. It is the first place where all of us learn the first lessons of our life. beBee with its extremely talented writers with their insightful pieces, makes for a great (virtual) home away from home. Susan 馃悵 Rooks,聽helped me grow in this space.聽

I really want to thank you all. For the paradoxical extrovert at work and introvert otherwise, like me, you have helped me and many of other bees, find a home away from home. Where we can disconnect from everything else, connect to beBee and start with a fresh mind. Read stories, poems, insights, educational posts and all and talk to people who "get us".聽

What a wonderful and enriching feeling it is!聽

Have you ever had the feeling of people not understanding you or your profession? What do you do about it?聽

Preston 🐝 Vander Ven A retreat is a fantastic way to put it. The space beBee provides is open, accepting, and very conducive to personal and professional growth. This free atmosphere is something difficult, although not impossible, to find at home.

I agree, Harvey Lloyd. You are so right in saying that many I's are often perceived as E's. At heart, we all want our own peace while our minds buzz with curiosity which can be only satiated when we go out, talk and meet more people and listen to more ideas. It is always so good to hear your thoughts. Thank you!

Proma, what a tremendous tribute to beBee, for which I completely agree. The hive is a warm and comfortable place with boundless bees, buzz and honey. The hive is indeed a refreshing respite from today's frenetic world, both online and off. Lastly, it's always a pleasure to recognize wonderful blogging buzz and contributions from buzzing bees like you and so many others. As my dear friend, Milos Djukic, would say: "A great person deserves no less."

Thank you and I can say that we all learn from each other as we inquire about subjects, content and humanness Yes I do find that on BeBee their many explorers, you mentioned a few. I get the world and it鈥檚 big E face. I believe though that many I鈥檚 exist but their exterior may be perceived as E. Regardless of personalities exploring ourselves and others expands our views. You are an explorer. What鈥檚 around the next corner is always exciting.

Thank you for your beautiful comment, Yolanda Ávila Márquez! You are absolutely right. It is always good to appreciate our own self and to believe in ourselves. That is something I truly follow in my own life. However, it always feels good to share your achievements and ideas with people who understand what you do in the first place. In fact, LinkedIn did a nice social experiment where parents were asked what there children actually do. It was surprising to see that most of them didn't really understand their child's role in an organization. Even if they did know their designation but not really the value addition they did. Nowadays, with even more specialized roles, it has become even more difficult to explain. This is where a community and platform like beBee makes it easy to find people who can engage us in interesting conversations. That quote from The Last Knight, is a great one! Thank you for that! A Hug to you, too!

Very uplifting Proma 🐝 Nautiyal! It's true, I think you can be both an introvert and extrovert (and, I think there is a term for that). I'm glad you find the community so uplifting!! Thanks for the mention :)
