Leaning In or Sleeping In - It's a Personal Choice

Leaning In or Sleeping In - It's a Personal Choice

////

I was reading an article this morning about men who sexually abuse and harass women in the workplaces and the writer sounded rather feminist or biased in the sense that she was blaming the males for being responsible for harassing women sexually and luring them with job offers and perks etc.

The truth of the matter is, it's a two way thing. Unlike the eras of our mothers and grandmother's, we have a choice and our generation are more vocal. On a personal experience, I see more women finding easier ways to climb the corporate ladder by sleeping their way up the corporate ladder and you find these cases true when it's an organization where the male is the Boss.

And for women like us who strictly want to play by the books, it takes years for us to reach our goals by sweat, blood, tears and integrity. Why blame the males for making us look cheap and harrasing us in the work place when we can just rightly put our foot down and say "NO, I will earn my job by merit", because if you say no other women will find the courage to say no and we build that connection of women who are brave enough to say "I earned it by merit" and teaching the younger women who come behind us to follow suite.

💄👠

I've worked in a male dominated field for 3 years, at the early stage of the project I was the only female sleeping in a camp with over 300 men and had my fair share of harrasment and offers to get the much admired "manager" roles. I chose to be the strong headed one and earn it by merit. It's all a personal choice.

💄👠

Whether we like it or not, boys will be boys and cheap, sleazy corporate chasers are here to stay. What matters is taking personal actions and responsibility for our own choices, leaning in and no need to pass the bark or play the blame game.

Over to you 😉

Sending you all Love, light, healing, blessings and positive vibes 💕💯🆙

A grand dose of #MeToo will kill this avenue and make it availble to only a few exceptions. The days of sleeping your way into a cush job are done, hell men are beginning to refuse to even talk to women in the office.
The next step is to roll out Robots & AI into all those problematic positions. Wait & See, Watch & Learn.
