Medals and Awards a plenty at Scottish London Business Network event
I am excited to announce an incredible line up for the next Scottish London Business Network event hosted by Shepherd and Wedderburn on the 24th of May in London. The monthly event brings together successful London based Scottish business figures from the Commerce and Investment worlds to meet and support home based Scottish entrepreneurs.
This month’s speakers come from the diverse worlds of Technology, Industrial Services and Para-Sport but they share a common trait of success built in Scotland from a base of determination and entrepreneurialism.
Tom McDonald, Managing Director, Exsel Group www.exselgroup.com. Exsel are a multi-award winning Glasgow Tech business built by Tom to a market leading position which was recognised in 2015 when they were runner up for Scottish business of the year. The company has a strong community approach and this year is the major sponsor of the Glasgow Homeless World Cup and various charities across the city.
Simone Sibbald has successfully built Perfect Service Solutions www.perfectservicesolutions.co.uk from a small local base in Stirling to now delivering nationwide service contracts for international brands. Simone is chair of the Building Engineering Services Association and was recently chosen by Business Gateway to front their campaign to support more female business leaders www.bgateway.com.
Martin Perry is a medal winning international Scottish Table Tennis player who has overcome the most unimaginable physical limitations to reach the peak of his sport. Born in Glasgow with only one leg and no hands Martin has not only reached the pinnacle of his sport but achieved this with a determination and modesty that is breath taking, www.celticfc.net/news/9167.
The Scottish London Business Network was founded by Christine Esson and Russell Dalgleish with the goal of encouraging more Scottish businesses to expand into the buoyant London market.
