Relax & Rejuvenate in these Travel Locales

Relax & Rejuvenate in these Travel Locales

We all need to get away to clear our heads and reduce our stress levels. If you have already been to the top travel places around the world, then you might need to look for another travel angle. Let this year be the year of relaxation. Here are some unique places to help you disconnect from work - at least for a few days.

  • Alberta, Canada -- If you are looking to rejuvenate, look no further than Alberta. Aside from great skiing and snowboarding, Alberta offers a number spas to destress. For example, the Kananaskis Nordic Spa will make you feel and look good with its hydrotherapy pools, eucalyptus steam rooms, massages and salt exfoliation cabins. There is also the Willow Stream Spa in Banff. This spa purifies with oxygen while the indoor waterfalls and the mineral pool calm your senses. Need an energy boost? Try the Energy Journey service, which is a full day of treatments, including the Wildflower Body Polish, Alpine Aromatherapy Massage and a Custom Cleanse Facial.

  • The Andamans Islands - A chain of 300 islands (some uninhabited) located between India and Thailand, you’ll find pristine beaches and coconut trees. New for 2019 is the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa. You’ll be wrapped in luxury and relaxation with rooms inspired by the indigenous tribes, world-class dining and unique experiences (e.g. turtle nesting excursions). Experience true serenity at the Jiva Spa with ancient Indian treatments such as the Ukuchina treatment, Jivaniya treatment and a Gudda Bath.

  • Armenia -- A new government has made Armenia a top travel destination. Explore the natural beauty of this country in the Dilijan National Park and the 10th Christian monasteries while on the Transcaucasian Trail. The Alexander is the first luxury hotel in Yerevan, and it doesn’t disappoint. The hotel features a minimalist design with gold accents. Enjoy international cuisine at Atelier 1797 Penthouse & Bar while taking in the gorgeous views of Armenia. Don’t pass on a trip to the Alexander Spa by Anne Semonin (Anne Semonin Paris cosmetics) with a range of services, including a body wrap, hair & scalp treatments and facials.

  • Brisbane, Australia -- Brisbane is experiencing a rebirth with new luxury hotels, restaurants and retail. For a quiet retreat, Brisbane has plenty to offer. The Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art provides a peaceful day of exhibits. Or, take a cruise on the bucolic Brisbane River. The W Brisbane is one of the new luxury properties with its world-class cuisine, contemporary design and the W MixBar. There’s also the AWAY Spa, which features the ultimate in pampering with its vitality pools, relaxation pods, aromatherapy steam rooms and more.
