Autumn Heart ~ An Imagery Journey

Autumn Heart ~ An Imagery Journey

When our hearts come home in autumn, we sense summer's whimsical hold, stubbornly passing.

We hear whispered secrets on the wind . . . and promises of tomorrow's blessing.

We find boundless comfort in the savory smells and tastes of the harvest, riding the chill breezes that drive us to the hearth.

And we steel ourselves . . . to defy the faux death of coming winter.

When our hearts come home in autumn, fantastical stories of adventure -- of heroic journeys and rites of passage and the wonders of wild nature -- pass through our thoughts and dreams, like sleek canoes on clear lakes of ultimate possibility.

Ancient music, the stirring lilt of traditional chord-locked melody, resonates in celebration and honor for all of life, enchanting our perceptions. The myriad ways we are all tied together in this great enigma of survival and adaptation, are reverently revealed. We garner precious glimpses of the silver beneath the stone, and they become a steadfast gleam in our eyes.

We gather our sacred memories at the festival table. We offer prayer to the mysteries of Mother Earth and Father Sky. We give thanks and revel in the bounty of the spirit.

When our hearts come home in autumn . . .

Thank you so much, @Franci Eugenia Hoffman, @debasish majumber, @Mohammed Sultan, @Praveen Raj Gullepalli, @Ali Anani, @Kepulauan Seribu, @Deb Helfrich, and @Lisa Gallagher for taking the time to engage with this post and comment. I appreciate your time and kind words. I took time out from making ELearning training videos to create this. The beauty of my work is that it is rife with metaphor and imagery. These are communication tools that stimulate touch-points and penetrate thought filters, passing deeper into the 'spiritual' self. And my own heart does in fact come home each Autumn . . .

A beautiful visual reverie! Nature unites and nurtures all life and it is our duty to appreciate, admire, cherish and conserve it's majesty and magic. Planet Earth is the biggest social media platform ever built. What are we doing for it?!
