Freezing Friday Funday

Freezing Friday Funday

THEY JUST{GET/BIGGER™At least once every winter, there are more snow-themed memes than I can count out on the Internet, so I need to use them up. We've been relatively lucky here in the northeast part of the U.S. -- we haven't had too much snow -- yet. But it's well known that February can bring huge amounts of the white stuff . . . so we'll see what I have to say about all this come April 1.

Here we go -- and for those in climates that never or rarely see actual snow -- see what you're missing!

I love this first one because I do live in Massachusetts.

Of course, it's not fair to ignore states that don't actually get snow, right? I mean, they have their own ways of struggling through these bleak months . . . right, Susan Goodselland Loribeth Pierson?

The funniest/ most annoying thing it the UK when we have snow, and the Authorities are asked to explain why roads closed, weren't adequately salted etc., part of the answer is often it was the wrong sort of snow. Perhaps we need to call on the Innuites, who have countless words to describe snow, to help make the right preparation for the downfalls. We have a similar situation when the Autumn leaves on the tracks, make it difficult for the trains to get traction. The answer has been to why it wasn't possible to clear them quickly they were the wrong sort of leaves.

Well, Ken Boddie, I had heard summer was on a Tuesday last year, but ... yes. Britain generally doesn't get nearly enough summer or sun for me; it's hard enough here in southern New England sometimes, but we actually do have some warmish days throughout the season. Usually, anyway!

And laughing is what I aim for as you know, ! Glad you enjoyed this bunch.

Across the platforms I post on, Joel Anderson, it's that meme that most talk about. I just loved it for its silliness and truthfulness!

Well, this winter so far, Paul \, has actually been tough on those in the south; Alabama has gotten more snow than we have here in southeastern Mass.! And there was snow predicted -- granted, about six snowflakes -- in Florida a couple of times. I fo feel sorry for your daughter and my friends down there; it's hard to have New England / Canadian winter weather there.

LMAO at #3 Here in the UK we all look forward to having any weather at all. Most Brits will not admit that, but hey. :) Great laugh Susan \ud83d\udc1d Rooks, the Grammar Goddess!

One of the main reasons I left UK, Susan, and settled in sunny Queensland, was because I was pissed off with the bitingly cold wet damp dingy sleety weather. I understand that summer was on a Wednesday for much of UK last year. As one who is an absolute cold weather wimp and alergic to the shivers, I’ll go with the Florida winter β€˜shoveling’ πŸ‘

Ok, so I hate self incriminating myself but I had to laugh at the one that spoke of men not growing up. I did that one to my neighbor last year when he came over to help. Oops scuze me. I think our wives knew that something was up because both of them were outside watching the two of us have an intensely significant intellectual exchange about the weather, climate change, and kind of a "Tim The Tool-time" uh, uh, er, er technical discussion about how fast those snowblowers can spew out streams of icy cheer. I got scolded despite the fact that he picked up a snow ball and beaned me in the noggin. :) This year, i decided to not get scolded and used that old fashion thing called a shovel. I slipped on the ice, and my wife asked me if I was ok ( I think there is a theme here of me in the snow and her supervising to make sure I don't do anything stupid) and with all the pride I could muster said Yep, perfect. No sooner had the words left my mouth in an icy fog, I did another winter Olympics worthy belly flop on the ground. I think I will bring back the snow blower for the next snow fall.
