Specific Education & Experience Requirements:
RequirementsTypically requires an advanced degree (MS, PhD, PharmD, MBA) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Must have line management supervisory experience
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Works in partnership with the heads of Medical Services and Medical Affairs Project Management and Medical Directors to coordinate, and ensure consistency and efficiency in, all relevant departmental operations and processes. Responsibilities include:

Managing the implementation of and evaluating the following Medical Affairs processes:
– Global, strategic planning (Global Medical Affairs Plan, Medical Affairs Plan of Action)
– Phase IV proposal review and approval
– Annual conference travel plan
Managing the logistical support for Medical Affairs programs, including but not limited to:
– Medical Affairs Advisory Programs
– Medical Affairs portion of National Meeting
– Medical Affairs Annual Conference
– Medical Scientists Post-Conference Debrief
– Learning and Development training events
– Pre- and Post-Conference Presentations
Ensuring consistency, and providing training on, the following processes:
– Editorial Board
– Core Conference Committee
– Phase IV review and approval
Managing the support for the following Medical Affairs systems and applications:
– Tango-Med
– Complete Spend
– Phase IV proposal management
– Datavision
– Sumtotal (Learning Management System)
– Medical Affairs website
Managing the graphical services function
– Provision of graphical services to Medical Affairs and R&D

Provides training on process, systems and applications

Directly manages annual budget for department

Recruits, hires, and mentors employees based on business needs. Responsible for supervision and performance reviews of any direct reports
