The role Are you looking to move into a new 1st/2nd Line IT role? We have a new and exciting opportunity for an ambitious 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our hard-working and friendly helpdesk team at our Head Office in Highams Park, East London. If you're an experienced First Line Engineer that's ready to take the next step in your career to a 2nd Line position in the near future, then continue reading. Key duties -Provide our clients with 1st line and 2nd Line escalation support via telephone and remote access. -Log new and update existing support tickets in our online ticketing system. * Visit sites to support users in person when required. -Support our clients in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary guidance and advice. -Provide day-to-day support for 3rd Party Applications (such as Microsoft Office/365 etc.) and bespoke 1st party in-house applications. -Provide day-to-day support for Cloud-based services (such as Office 365, Sage, Adobe etc.) -Troubleshoot hardware issues on PCs, Apple Macs and Peripherals. Your Skillset. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems from Windows 7 onwards. -Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy and Virtualisation administration. -Working knowledge of networking, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, in addition to Firewalls, Access Points and Switches used in a business environment. -Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Business/Exchange Online administration. -Working knowledge of Apple OSX, iOS, Apple desktop and mobile Technologies. * Working knowledge of the latest Data backup and restore solutions, systems and methods. -Experience supporting VoIP telephony systems in a Business environment. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -A current Microsoft technical certification. -A Full UK Driving Licence.
