We are looking for full time (37 hours) and part time (18.5 hours) experienced administrators to work flexibly across our teams within the Children and Young Peoples directorate at various locations across the Wakefield District.

Excellent customer care and communication skills are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team or independently using your own initiative.

Duties include diary management, reception duties, dealing with telephone calls from members of the public and internal colleagues, arranging and taking minutes at various meetings, preparing reports and agendas, data inputting and general administrative tasks to support our senior managers and social work teams and other professionals, which includes regularly updating our social care recording system.

It is essential that you are an experienced and confident minute taker and are able to use a laptop to take minutes at multi-agency meetings. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential as many tasks are required to be completed within statutory timescales.

Due to the nature of these roles it is essential that you are fully aware of all aspects of data protection and confidentiality as you will be working in an environment dealing with extremely sensitive and emotive information on a daily basis including information relating to the abuse and injuries to children and young people.

Core office hours are 8.30 -17.00 Monday to Thursday and 8.30-16.30 on a Friday. These posts are part of the flexi time scheme.

Suitable applicants will be invited to an assessment centre which will involve some practical admin/IT tests. If successful at the assessment centre, candidates will be invited to a formal interview. 2 sets of dates are planned as follows:- *Assessment Centre - Monday 5th August, Formal Interview - Wednesday 7th August
*Assessment Centre - Monday 2nd September, Formal Interview - Wednesday 4th September
