A new requirement has arisen for an exceptional Adult Social Care Lawyer during an exciting period of transition for this thriving local authority team. In consultation with key institutions and departments, you will be providing an effective and efficient legal service to the Council's adult social care department. As an Adult Social Care Lawyer, you will need to be hands on in resolving a range of challenging legal issues arising under the Care Act 2014 including safeguarding, care fees and residence disputes. Your case load is likely to include Court of Protection matters, Community Care cases, mental health issues and Judicial Review.
You will be responsible for obtaining and evaluating evidence, preparing cases and conducting advocacy in court and before the relevant tribunals.

THE CANDIDATE:A qualified Solicitor or Barrister, you will have specific experience within Adult Social Care with a 'can-do' zealous enthusiasm and motivation to deliver an excellent service within this role. You will be equally as competent in case preparation as you are in conducting advocacy, and will have an outstanding track record in similar roles. Your sound judgement and ability to engage easily with people from various backgrounds will pay dividends within this role. Some regular homeworking is available with this role., and the authority would be open to considering condensed working hours or part-time arrangements.
