We are currently looking for one experienced Advanced Practitioner to work within our Children & Care Teams. You will based at one of our sites in Wakefield.

You will be working 3 days per week

22.5 hours (Part Time)

Temp contract

Pay rates up to £37ph

Key Responsibilities

To support a children's care service as outlined in national legislation/guidance and in line with county policies and procedures.
Co-work some complex cases requiring a high degree of professional expertise in order to offer support, advice and guidance to staff.
Ensure a high standard of professional practice is maintained across the service through personal example, coaching, mentoring and consultation. Provide learning opportunities to promote the professional development of staff within the service.
Provide supervision and oversight of the team's student practice placements including ensuring the quality of practice educator is appropriate and the numbers of practice educators is sufficient.
Ensure the provision and continuing development of high quality assessments, care planning care proceedings and reviews for individuals and ensure that high quality care plans with identified outcomes are drawn up involving children young people and their families/ carers.
To co-work and support ASYEs as required ensuring that children and families receive support to meet their assessed needs.
Pursue continuous improvement and ensure appropriate performance management systems are in place for example, auditing to promote the quality of work at individual and service level, including the effective management of complaints

You must have at least 3 years’ experience of working with long-term child protection and assessment work.
You must have experience in completing, single assessments; risk assessments; s47 investigations; child protection planning; viability assessments; parenting assessments and courtwork both within the public and private sector. Adoption work and completion of Child Permanence Reports are integral to the role
