About the Role
An exciting role has arisen for an Administrative Assistant in the Neighbourhoods and Public Protection service.
The Neighbourhoods and Public Protection service are responsible for:
Community Protection, Licensing and Enforcement
Business Support and Registration Service
Libraries and Information Service
You will assist by providing administrative assistance for the PA to the Service Director and the Senior Leadership team, which is an excellent opportunity to develop communication skills in a business environment and build a professional career.
There will be occasions where travel to other locations is required. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

This is a 12 months fixed term contract to undertake a Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship.

This is a fixed term contract and may represent a suitable secondment opportunity for existing Cornwall Council employees. If you wish to be considered for a secondment, please obtain your manager’s permission before applying.
You will be willing to undertake a programme of work, study and training designed to develop your skills and abilities to achieve the Level 2 qualification in Business & Administration.
Apprenticeships require the ability to undertake regular learning, which may include: travel to the learning provider's location (e.g. college); distance and online learning as required. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
The learning provider (e.g. college), location and dates will be confirmed ASAP upon appointment; the learning provider will contact the successful applicant directly to arrange any additional training programme assessments/interviews.
You will have the ability to communicate with others using a range of media, use your initiative and to work effectively with the team to support the delivery of service objectives.
You are required to have a full UK driving license.
