Technical Services / Operations Manager (Food Manufacturing)

My client, a successful food manufacturer is seeking a Technical Services / Operations Manager to support and oversee all technical and quality compliance within a busy food manufacturing site located in Cambridgeshire.

Your New Role

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Work alongside Production, Technical, Quality, NPD and Hygiene teams, identifying process and product improvements
Solve day to day problems and deliver solutions for continuous improvement on site
Identify opportunities within the business
Customer / Retailer audits
Drive standards on site, including QMS, HACCP Plan and Health and safety (H&S)
We are looking for candidates with the following skills, experience and attributes:

Degree in Food Science or equivalent – Food Hygiene level 4, HACCP, IOSH
Extensive experience of BRC accreditation, HACCP implementation and customer / retailer audits, QMS
Communication and leadership skills
Proven track record of cross management between Technical departments including (Quality & Hygiene)
Experience working within a similar Technical role
Experience working with high and low risk food products
Previous experience with major UK retailers

Salary Circa £50,000
