If this answer is yes, then we've partnered up with one of the UK's largest software consultancies who are looking for someone with expertise in data architecture to provide high level expertise to internal and external stakeholders within the consultancy' growing fintech practice.
As a Big Data Architect / Director, you will be working in a customer facing environment at C-suite level providing a hands on approach to areas such as data technology, AI/ML, workflows, planning and data migration.
This role represents a real opportunity to help set up the data strategy for the new fintech practice where you will be able to transform a business division and take it to the next level.
In terms of skills, my client are looking for someone with the followings hands on expertise:
- Demonstrable exeperience working within AWS, Cloud and Big Data platforms
- Experience with enterprise data solutions (Data Lakes, Enterprise Warehouses)
- Expert knowledge of Big Data solutions (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Impala)
- Good experience architecturing databases such as Netezza, BigQuery and Teradata
- Experience with Cloud Native and Serverless computing
- Competent in working at a high level of Big Data Architecture
In summary, this role will not suit someone who just wants to be a hands of director, but it will suit someone who is a hands on leader who is still happy to get stuck into the technical detail on a daily basis.
