S24h Breakdown Manager

Salary £30,000 per annum

This is a full time post working Monday - Friday

At Western Commercial we pride ourselves on customer service, and are now looking for a new member to fit in to our service team as a Mercedes-Benz S24h Manager. This is a new role within the business due to expansion and development within the Mercedes-Benz S24h system.

You will be responsible for managing and controlling a team of S24h technicians dealing with breakdowns to progress vehicles through roadside assistance and the workshop in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have a background in communicating with customers by phone and e-mail and be able to provide a first class service at all times. A good understanding of the commercial vehicle industry would be an advantage.

Duties will include the below but will not be limited to:


- Offer front line customer support following a breakdown
- Allocate correct resources to ensure that all calls and tasks are attended by the appropriate technician
- Ensure customers are informed timely of job progression / development through to a satisfactory resolution
- Ensure that the necessary processes and procedures are understood and are followed thereby providing a consistent and professional service to the customer
- Ensuring that all KPI’s set are adhered to
- Booking jobs onto the in house computer system
- Processing all documentation and paperwork to completion
- Ensure at all times the safety of all team members, service, compliance and reliability of all vehicles

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:


- Be customer-service orientated
- Have the ability to assess data quickly and accurately
- Have good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to think and react quickly
- Business standard IT skills (including Microsoft Word & Excel)
- Prior experience with call handling
- Be a team player
- A good level of vehicle knowledge, maintenance and repair is desirable but not essential
- Have a mechanical knowledge gained within a commercial vehicle service background, parts or administration roles
- Be customer-service orientated
- Offer a first class customer service
