Mexichem is a global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of fluoroproducts that play a fundamental role in enhancing everyday lives. The products from our Fluor Business Group are used in a vast range of applications such as the construction of towns and cities, keeping homes cool, food fresh and even in the treatment of respiratory conditions. We are the largest producer of fluorspar in the world, accounting for over 20% of global supply, and also produce around 10% of global hydrofluoric acid supply.
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Business Development / Commercial Manager to join us in our Pharmaceuticals department in Thornton, Chester.
Within this role, you will identify and gain access to customers for the Medical Business and will develop and deliver the business development and growth activity for Medical Products in both existing and new products and markets. You will also be building relationships on an international scale working closely with R&D, procurement and regulatory teams.
This is a technical sales role in which the ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience as a minimum along with a PHD level qualification in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical related subject. With extensive experience in Pharmaceutical sales, you will also have experience in international business development across multiple cultures.
The successful candidate will ideally come from a smaller company within the Pharma or FMCG sector and will see this role as a 'step up’.
As there will be international travel involved, it would suit someone who is internationally minded. We are also flexible on the candidate’s location although the role will involve at least one week per month at head office (Runcorn/Chester).
