Hours: 36 per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Lead Officer within the Data, Performance & Business Planning team of the Strategy & Communications Division in the City of Edinburgh Council. Working at the very heart of the Council, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in shaping the development of the Council's Business Plan, Performance Framework and the high-quality data analytics and performance information necessary to drive service improvement and make key business decisions.

Working closely with the Data, Performance and Business Planning Manager, the team and key stakeholders across the Council you play a lead role in the development of the Councils Enterprise Data Warehouse and Cognos Business Intelligence technology. A key outcome of the project will be to develop a data driven culture in the Council where information is valued, actionable and used to make effective business decisions and service improvements.

You will be responsible for the line management and development of a team of Data, Performance and Business Planning Officers ensuring they are motivated and developed to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of performance management and business intelligence at a strategic level within a complex business environment.

This is a grade 9 post with a salary range of £43,619 - £52,222 plus benefits.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
