Description

You will be qualified, and hold a practicing certificate as a Solicitor, Barrister or FCILEx; and be able to demonstrate post qualification experience in Child Protection/Child Care, including Advocacy.

You will assist with meeting the legal service’s income generation target, advise internal and external clients on matters with minimal supervision; and be able to manage a substantial and varied caseload, developing strong client relationships, delivering complex advice clearly. The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize will be essential; and to carry out all duties in a professional and accurate manner with, a client focused approach.


You will be part of a large team that works collaboratively, finding practical solutions to many complex legal issues, regardless of which team or role you are in. Working for a diverse and innovative Council, you will need to be quick-thinking and versatile; and comfortable working with a wide range of people, supporting the provision of legal services to our growing number of external clients.
