Description

At Virgin Care, we’ve created a working environment where everyone can really feel the difference.

It’s the kind of place where nothing’s too much trouble. Where our service is seamless. Where you’ll feel empowered, listened to, valued and where we’ll support you to bring your best self to work every day. And that’s just the beginning.

Since 2006, we’ve delivered innovative and refreshing health and social care services to millions of people by developing our own unique approach where our patients are at the centre of everything we do. And right now, we’re looking for a Band 6 Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse to join our in-patient nursing team at Sheppey Community Hospital to help us continue to change things for the better.

Working closely with all members of our multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for delivering, meeting and maintaining high standards of care with the ward manager. You will need to be able to demonstrate on-going professional development, a flexible approach to work and be a good team player. You will be expected to work with other members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and timely discharges and ensure patient safety and quality of care. You will be expected in the absence of the ward manager to be able to demonstrate good leadership, by deputising and be responsible for the continuity and smooth running of the ward. You’ll care for patients and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work.

You will be a registered nurse who has been a Band 5 for at least 2 years, with a strong interest in rehabilitation, and strong communication and organisational skills. A flexible approach will ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.

But what’s in it for you? Well, we offer a competitive salary and NHS pension, lots of training and development, great perks including being part of the Virgin Tribe giving access to exclusive offers as well as discounts on Virgin products and services including 40% off Virgin Trains!
