Are you a CNC Setter / Operator with Turning experience using Fixed Head or Sliding Heads? If so a small precision engineering company who manufacture aerospace components are looking for someone like you to work on a Twilight Shift. The role requires you to set machines and ensure that cycle times achieve the quality and output standards required. An aerospace or automotive manufacturing background would be beneficial but not essential.
Setting and Operating TNC and Mori Seiki machine tools with Traub and Fanuc controls.
Machining to tight tolerances on INDEX machines with Fanuc controls (tolerances of 0.1mm).
Ensure the first off inspection is carried out and that all products within the batch conform to requirements, alongside Buddy checks for work colleagues.
Verify accuracy of machine setting, recognise, identify and rectify or report all quality defects and failures to achieve the required standards
Checking drawing numbers, specifications, materials and parts prior to manufacture
Maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards
Skills & Experience
Previous experience of Setting and Operating Fixed Head or Sliding Head machinery.
An aerospace manufacturing background would be beneficial.
Apprentice served or formal training or qualification would be an asset.
Salary to £16ph
Hours 3.15pm to 1.00am Monday to Thursday (37 hours per week)
23 days holiday plus bank holiday (3 days to be used for Christmas shutdown)
