Opportunities have arisen to join the Committee Services Team who provide support to Elected Members and Council Officers in the running of the Council’s Committee meetings.
The post holders will form part of a small team providing a clerking role to the Council’s Committee system, as well as associated duties such as supporting Partnership Group meetings, Community Councils and elections as required.

Requirements The role is within the Committee Services Team, part of Legal and Democratic Services.
The post holder will provide clerking and advice for the effective delivery of the Council’s decision-making processes including delivery of the Council’s committees, sub-committees, partnership bodies and working groups meetings.
Duties include preparing and issuing agendas, minutes and action notes for meetings, attending meetings as well as providing procedural advice in relation to the Council’s Governance Scheme and statutory procedures affecting the conduct of meetings.
The normal working week will be Monday to Friday although flexible working options can be considered for both posts.
