British Triathlon is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in Great Britain, responsible for raising the profile and delivering medal-winning performances and helping everyone discover, enjoy and achieve in triathlon. The role will be based at the British Triathlon headquarters located at Loughborough University.

We are looking for a Communications Manager to lead our Communications Team in the exciting period leading up to the 2020 Olympic Games and beyond.

We are looking for a bright, creative and hardworking individual with experience in external communications, media relations or public relations. You will be used to leading a team, creating engaging and media-friendly content and already have some excellent journalistic contacts. You will also be familiar with media monitoring systems such as Kantar or Gorkhana and able to interpret monitoring data effectively. Ideally you will also have experience of managing external agencies and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll need to be good under pressure, organised and quick to learn and in return will benefit from a lively working environment that provides some amazing opportunities. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and positive individual, with a desire to achieve the highest possible standards for themselves, the organisation and for those involved in triathlon. Triathlon knowledge is not essential for this role.
