Working to the Head of Communications Publicis Media UK, the Communications Manager will develop distinctive profile raising campaigns and initiatives for Publicis Media brands in the UK.


Responsibilities will include building and driving all external, internal, social and client communications as well as industry event support. This role is 70% focused on external PR activities so the ideal candidate will be able to show strength in this area. The Communications Manager will own and execute a clear and intelligent communications and marketing brief in order to set the agency apart from the competition.


Core Competencies


A communications professional with all round expertise across internal and external channels

Proven track record of working with journalists and senior stakeholders at all levels (internal and external)

Strong writer and storyteller

Experience of writing press releases, features, blogs, social posts and thought leadership

Support internal teams on the delivery of events (both owned and third party) and place key spokespeople on key industry events/panels

Digitally savvy with hands on experience of creating content for social media, websites and other platforms

Excellent attention to detail and an ability to work independently, but also as part of a wider team

Strong personality who offers an expert communications and marketing perspective

Ideas driven and results focused – the successful candidate will not be satisfied with the status quo

Straight talking yet flexible and versatile

A desire to learn, grow and share

An interest, if not obsession, with emerging tech, trends, transformation and the media


Qualifications


Demonstrable experience of delivering communication and marketing campaigns to internal and external audiences across all platforms

While a background in the advertising/media sector is not essential, a good knowledge of the wider media industry and technology sectors would be a distinct advantage

Reputational management and crisis communication

At least five years’ experience (either in house communications/marketing role or a PR/Communications agency)
