The Corporate Responsibility (CR) Communications Manager will be responsible for formulating and driving the CR communications strategy covering the four pillars of the TJXE CR strategy.

Planning and delivering content to key internal and external stakeholders, which protects and enhances the reputation of the business.


Responsible for raising awareness of the company’s commitment to CR with the media, customers and our associates, generating positive coverage that showcases our efforts.


Driving the engagement of internal and external audiences through the creation of CR campaigns and initiatives.


The ability to form effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business is essential.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Develop scalable simple strategic comms initiatives on a pan European, national and local basis, in order to support the agreed strategic reputation objectives.

Partner with the CR team and key internal stakeholders across all functions, to develop and cascade a proactive CR communications strategy which drives both internal and external messaging.

Partner with the Manager of Corporate Communications to align CR strategy and activities to the company’s reputation agenda.

Act as both a champion and gatekeeper for TJXE CR communications in order to enhance and protect reputation both internally and externally.

Lead on CR communication decision making, managing expectations of CR team and other key stakeholders in how and when to communicate.

Provide regular reporting on CR communication activity through appropriate measurement tools.

Gather regular feedback from key stakeholders to inform the CR communication strategy.

Business partner with key internal departments to ensure CR communication messaging/branding is consistently applied across the business.

Partner with the CR team to identify newsworthy angles from initiatives within the business and work with external reputation agency to identify appropriate media channels for communication.

Build relationships with trade media and identify opportunities to share appropriate stories.

Lead on the TJX award strategy as it relates to CR.

Partner with the Internal Comms Activation manager and Content manager to ensure CR messaging is managed within the comms calendar and maximised through existing comms channels.

Indirectly manage members of the internal comms team to deliver results on a project basis.

Manage spend against budget for all activities, and plan campaigns according to available budget.


KEY SKILLS, BEHAVIOUR & EXPERIENCE


Experience in a CR focused environment

Excellent stakeholder management

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including an ability to write and edit copy

Interest in current affairs and consumer issues

Proactive and able to work independently with limited support

Demonstrates a “can-do” attitude and uses initiative

Strong influencing skills, able to manage expectations and challenge upwards

Positive, friendly outlook; a real team player with the ability to form networks

Strong planning and organising skills, drives to meet deadlines

Ability to work in an energetic, fast paced environment on multiple workstreams
