About Risk, Finance and Treasury
The Risk, Finance and Treasury Technology team comprises c.3500 colleagues situated in the major hubs of United Kingdom, United State, India and Czech Republic.
We are accountable for the delivery of business change and technology transformation for Risk, Finance and Treasury Functions globally, working in partnership with our Business customers to develop and implement long term strategic IT solutions to help achieve the Firm’s strategic goals.
We support more than 450 applications and a user base of 7000+ staff across all BUs, Legal Entities and major geographic hubs, enabling them to effectively manage capital and liquidity, assess internal and external risk metrics, meet regulatory reporting requirements and provide a strong Second Line of defense.

About the Credit Function
The Credit Function in the RFT Technology department focuses on the applications required to support the Credit business and its related assets. This covers the vanilla credit products (CDS/CDS Index/etc), Portfolio products (CDO/CLO/IndexTranche/etc) and more exotic products where applicable. Our applications provide overnight and adhoc valuations of the Credit products for the Trading Desk, Market Risk and Product Control teams. Some Applications also allows users to mark their positions for specific products.
 
 
Overall purpose of role
To support the Credit Correlation products and related trading activity the Credit team supports and maintains a set of applications focused on these products. In conjunction with applications in the wider credit space these applications provide the adhoc and batch valuations that the desk uses to maintain existing portfolios and conduct new business.
 
The successful candidate will focus on our adhoc valuations platform as part of the team supporting the wider credit business. They will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of the applications, including requirements gathering from Traders and Market Risk users. They will also be facing the business users directly to support their use of the application and the wider credit space. To facilitate this good interpersonal and analysis skills are expected, along with an understanding of Credit Products.
 
 
 Key Accountabilities
Gather requirements, design, develop and maintain C++, VBA & SQL Server components for adhoc risking and pricing.
Participate in mandatory infrastructure upgrades, DevOps and technical debt activities.
Support and troubleshoot any queries and issues from the trading desks and risk managers.
Work directly with business users in driving requirements.
Use analytical and problem solving skills to manage production issues
Coordinate with Booking and Reporting teams to align applications with strategic
