Credit Risk Reporting & Controls, AVP

The BI RIS Wholesale Credit Risk team is responsible for the production and review of timely, accurate and complete Credit Risk metrics to support internal MI and external regulatory reporting. The team has grown exponentially in recent times and we are looking for an experienced Credit Risk professional to join us in a permanent role.   This role will support the team in Production and Reporting, with responsibility for the ongoing reporting activities and regulatory aspects of Credit Risk Capital Reporting. 

What will you be doing?
Collation and review of daily Credit and Counterparty Credit RWA reporting including idiosyncratic/trend analysis and commentary across macro, portfolio and granular levels
Explain moves in key IRB and Standardised risk metrics
Support the delivery of new control and reporting requirements under various initiatives, including Project Eagle, BCBS239 Full Compliance, Basel III reforms
Monitor the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of Wholesale Credit Risk data used for reporting, generating and commenting on KPIs
Identify and implement improvements to the control and reporting environments, documenting issues and proposing resolutions
Development and testing of the systems and business processes supporting regulatory or internal policy changes
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

What we’re looking for:
Working knowledge of the CRR regulation, in particular Advanced Internal Ratings Based and Standardised approach to calculating capital requirements for Credit Risk
Data warehouse experience and analysis skills (Access/SQL/VBA) with confidence in handling large datasets
Experience in business analysis project accountabilities such as gathering requirements from self-analysis, investigating issues, documenting findings, and testing solutions
Previous experience of analysing capital reporting data.

Skills that will help you in the role:
A working understanding of Basel III, Credit Risk calculations, data interrogation and an interest in the changing regulatory landscape.
Excellent MS Excel and numeracy skills
Strong analytical / problem solving abilities
A working knowledge of or desire to learn VBA & SQL is preferable.

Where will you be working?
This role will be based in the Aurora Building, 1 of our 3 modern City Centre locations until our exciting new campus location overlooking the River Clyde at Buchanan Wharf is opened in 2020. Aurora is close to the main stations, other transport links and also benefits from an onsite canteen.
