Selective Recruitment are seeking a professional and experienced Customer Service Advisor to support one of our rapidly expanding clients located in Manchester.

The purpose of the role is to collect early arrears payments from customers who have auto-finance products across the credit spectrum from prime to near sub-prime, and to maximise the payments and recoveries received from customers under their loans once they have missed a payment.

Job role: Customer Service Advisor - Collections

Location: Manchester

Hours: There are two shift patterns and you will rotate through them weekly: 9am-5pm and 12-8pm. You will also need to work one Saturday and Sunday in four, 10am to 6pm (and you will get two days off in the following week).

Holiday: 25 days' holiday per annum, plus 8 bank holidays

Primary duties;

- Calling customers, taking payments from them, negotiating credit arrangements, tracing uncontactable customers, and using your judgement to maximise payments from customers depending on their circumstances.
- You will need to work closely with other team members, be rigid in recording your conversations on our system, and work within the strict guidelines of the FCA on treating customers fairly.

Candidate specification;

- Experience of early years, debt management and recovery processes, from within a Collections function in a Consumer Lending business.
- Excellent written, technological and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail, and be able to follow procedures and work within a regulated environment.
