Attractions Assistant (Customer Service) – Multiple opportunities available

For over 50 years, Longleat has been one of the UK's most loved attractions. Despite our established reputation, we constantly strive to educate, excite and inspire guests – from hosting the UK's largest ever hot air balloon gathering, to celebrating our Festival of Light; the first and biggest event of its kind in the UK, with a total of 3,000 spectacular Chinese lanterns transforming the Estate.

With almost one million guests every year, we're passionate about providing wondrous and immersive experiences that lead to lifelong memories, and at the heart of making this happen is the friendly and fun-loving Attractions Team.

Operating across a diverse portfolio of attractions, including Britain's largest maze (made up of nearly 2 miles of paths and over 16,000 English yew trees!), the enthusiastic team are passionate about offering a first-class guest experience.

What will this role of Attractions Assistant (Customer Service) entail?

Working as part of the cheerful Attractions Team, you'll ensure guests have an unforgettable time by delivering an efficient, friendly and engaging service. You'll operate our range of exciting attractions, including Rockin' Rhino, Adventure Castle and costume characters. You'll also be involved in marshalling events.

You'll take responsibility for the security and handling of money, and for keeping the attractions clean and up to daily operating standards. You'll be representing Longleat and all that it stands for, so you'll always be smart in appearance and flexible to work on all attractions according to business needs – giving guests a reason to smile in all weather conditions; rain or shine!

What will I need to be considered for this Attractions Assistant (Customer Service) vacancy?


- Demonstrable customer service experience
- An abundance of enthusiasm and energy
- Excellent communication skills with a positive, mature and friendly nature
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Honest, reliable and flexible to work extra hours / weekends as required

Although not essential, a full UK Driving Licence would be highly advantageous.

What will I receive in return?

As an Attractions Assistant (Customer Service) you will receive a pay rate that exceeds National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage, in addition to a range of attractive benefits that include; 29 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata), complimentary tickets to Longleat and Cheddar Gorge, discounts on food, beverages and retail merchandise, along with life assurance cover and more perks.

Contract: Permanent. Working an average of 24 hours per week, with hours to vary on a 7-day rota basis – earliest rota'd start time from 9am, and latest finish time up to 8pm. During our busy periods working hours are likely to be significantly higher.

Please note, due to the nature of the business, evenings and weekend work will be required, including bank holidays.
