Customer Service Specialist - German Speaking
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Contract: Full-Time, 6-month fixed term
About the role:
Abcam, a rapidly expanding bioscience organisation, is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Customer Service Specialist to join our multinational Customer Service Team on a 6-month basis.
As a Customer Service Specialist, you will proactively handle customer queries on a daily basis as well as customer data, using your outstanding communication and problem-solving skills to ensure a first-class customer experience at all times.
About Customer Services at Abcam:
Our multilingual Customer Services Team is made of 25 enthusiastic customer experience specialists, focused on delivering a world-class service to our customers, in English, Spanish, German, and French. The team work in a "virtual office" set up. Their communication skills are impeccable and they use a newly introduced system which helps the team process orders and communicate with our customers more efficiently.
Roles & responsibilities:
* Proactively resolve customer queries, liaising with other departments when appropriate
* Manage your own administration around the orders placed such as providing quotations, processing credit notes for example
* Proactively contact customers with information about their order
* Own your customer data ensuring that information in our systems is accurate at all times
* Support your team members when needed and with an enthusiastic mindset
* Recommend promotions and product alternatives to customers when appropriate
* Look for ways in which you can continually improve how you do your job
You have some customer service or customer-centric experience, are able to demonstrate excellent customer service awareness and the eagerness to provide an outstanding customer experience at all times. It can be experience within sectors such as Retail, Gaming and Leisure & Tourism.
You are fluent in English, both in writing and verbally. You are also fluent in German, both verbally and in writing.
You are used to deal with order processing and related details, having an excellent attention to details. You can prioritise your workload and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Most of all, you have a positive mindset, love to help people and take initiative to solve queries!
