Your new company
Our client, a leading public-sector organisation based in Bangor has a requirement for a Data Protection Officer to join their team.

Your new role
You will play a key role in ensuring that the organisation complies with the General Data Protection Regulation. You will be the lead contact with the Information Commissioner's Office. You will co-ordinate and lead on the assessment of organisational readiness to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation; the design and implementation of a compliance framework and monitoring and reporting on compliance.

As the post holder you will provide advice, guidance and support on responding to requests for personal data. In addition, you will be expected to work in conjunction with other Compliance Officers and to manage specified projects requested by the Compliance Manager.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be either a qualified solicitor or hold a law degree or equivalent (preferably a professional qualification in Data Protection such as CIPP/E or CISM although not essential). You will have 2 years' relevant experience in data protection/privacy role.
