We are looking for a Motivated, Compassionate Deputy Manager to join the team and be part of a Caring team supporting Children with BESD. As a Deputy Manager you must be passionate about building therapeutic relationships and providing supportive care whilst leading a team to promote best practice and high standards of Care.

The Home Provides residential care and support to children and young people who may have Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties.

As a deputy Manager you will support the Manager to implement and maintain the aims and objectives of the Homes statement of purpose and core values.
You will assist the Manager to lead and support a staff team to deliver outstanding consistent and compassionate care to our Young people to enable the Best Possible outcomes for the Children/Young People.
To Deputise in the absence of the Manager
To Manage Child Protection concerns and complains and work in Partnership with Other professionals to enable best outcomes for the Children/Young people.Duties and Responsibilities Include:- Ensuring Each Young person has a Key worker who works with them to implement their care plan
Ensuring Care Plans are person centred and worked on with the child and regularly reviewed with meaningful goals
Assisting the Manager to ensure High Care standards are delivered and maintained working in line with the Homes Policies and Procedures.
Ensuring Staff are aware of each Child's placement plan and are know what is expected of them to implement it.
To attend reviews and planning meetings with other Professionals to provide a holistic care approach to ensure the best outcomes for the child.
Build Therapeutic relationships with the children and act as a role model.
Assist in developing and implementing systems in which young people are consulted about the Quality of care they receive.The Person

Must have 2 Years Residential Care Experience and at Least 1 Year experience in a senior role.
Have an NVQ 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent)
Working towards NVQ 4
Good Knowledge of Children's Act and relevant legislation. In depth knowledge of 'Every Child Matters'
Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
Able to Manage a team and delegate duties appropriately
Able to be part of, motivate and guide a staff team to deliver the Best Possible Care for the Children and Young People
