Excellent opportunity for an experienced Design and Contracts Engineer to join a well-established company based in Leicester! Position: Permanent Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 per annum, negotiable plus company vehicle and benefits Company Leicester based company specialising in mechanical works in all sectors (Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Office) on a permanent basis. They are a family run business and are well-established within their industry. They have a strong ethos of looking after staff; and many have remained with the company for many years. Role and responsibilities You will be running multiple projects at any one time and these could be based throughout the UK, working alongside the internal office team and the other contract managers to ensure the projects are completed on time, to a high standard and without any snagging. The Design and Contracts Engineer will be required to handle projects from the initial design stage and follow them through until complete sign off stage. You will liaise with the MD, the office manager, Cad department, engineers, suppliers, sub-contractors and the client’s representatives both office based and on site. You will also be asked to prepare the applications for payments so a good understanding of mathematics is beneficial. Candidate Requirements Design and Contracts Engineer Commercial awareness Flexibility with working hours, lodging away is sometimes required Team player A good understanding of the mechanical health & safety requirements, risk assessments and method statements etc. Knowledge of the healthcare industry would be advantageous as their main projects are based within this sector but this would not be essential.
