Who we are
At Roche, 80,000 people across 150 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare. Working together, we’ve become one of the world’s leading research-focused healthcare groups. Our success is built on innovation, curiosity and diversity, and on seeing each other’s differences as an advantage. To innovate healthcare, Roche has ambitious plans to keep learning and growing – and is seeking people who have the same goals for themselves.
We are looking for a Development Excellence Leader to bring specialist expertise in executing business transformation and improvement projects, for a world leader in drug development. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned management consultant with experience in programme leadership and change management or an experienced Pharma program leader to join an internal group focused on delivering key projects against the strategy of our Product Development (PD) organisation. In this role, the candidate will scope, design and drive major business transformation projects across the PD Landscape, partnering with Senior PD Leaders to deliver lasting value to the organisation. The Development Excellent Leader applies consulting, change and business improvement methodologies, to ensure that projects identify and deliver solutions that are simple, timely, fit for purpose and meet customer and business needs as rapidly as possible.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Lead and manage major multifunctional business improvement projects from scoping, through analysis to designing and implementing solutions, including effective change management
Ensure our internal consulting services are effectively delivered to the PD organisation; projects are conceptualized, championed and approved, project plans developed, reviewed and implemented, change management and communications plans are defined and effective business solutions are implemented
Contribute to the creation of new, innovative Product Development Excellence consulting service offerings by establishing and maintaining a collaborative network within the Roche Pharma organisation and externally within the wider Pharma industry
Who you are
We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record of leading high impact/visibility transformational projects (such as business performance, system roll out, process improvement and organizational change projects). The candidate should have gained this experience through specialized Pharma Consulting assignments or from working in the drug development space. Experience in successfully delivering cultural change and ‘agile’ methodology projects will be an added advantage.
The candidate is educated to a bachelors or advanced degree (BSc, MBA, Doctorate) (science, business) with a solid grounding in business performance improvement methodologies including project conceptualization, situational analysis, solution design, implementation and continuous improvement, plus change management. To be successful in this role, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to work successfully across multifunctional teams as well as excellent leadership and influencing skills. The candidate must be a good ‘systems thinker’ who is able to see the bigger picture, have strategic agility, be comfortable working with ambiguity and able to successfully influence at all levels of the organisation. You will be able to demonstrate a critical, entrepreneurial, customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering lasting value to customers.
Please note the closing date for this vacancy is Thursday 22 November.
