General Responsibilities

The primary mission of the Human Resources Business Partner is to provide a quality ‘Hire to Retire’ HR Experience to candidates and employees by leveraging personalized attention, technology, and processes that support the strategic needs of the business. The incumbent will work closely with the business leadership and the other HR COEs to deliver interventions that are aligned with the overall business objectives. This role requires a relentless pursuit in implementing best in class processes.


In fulfilment of the primary mission, the key results areas are:


What you'll do


Workforce Planning and Recruitment


Consult and partner with leaders on succession planning, developing diversity and staffing plans, and integrating overall workforce plan in alignment with the Global Talent Management COE.

Develop needs forecast (future requirements for managerial and leadership)

Recruit and retain top employee talent.


Leadership Development


Provide coaching to business leaders

Facilitate feedback for programs such as the 360 program

Organizational Effectiveness including effective succession planning and employee engagement

Coach, consult, and recommend interventions on broad employee issues, using Pulse surveys, and other inputs

Coach and support business leaders on organizational design and restructuring efforts, including strategy for consultations.

Develop and implement change management programs with business leaders

Develop communications programs for the business

Focus the mindset for creating positive employee experiences


Performance Management


Provide leadership in the implementation of performance management assuring goals and targets are aligned to planned business outcomes.

Coach managers where needs arise (e.g. Setting goals, giving feedback to employees, discerning performance levels)

Facilitate the understanding of performance outcomes and compensation

Lead the program to implement the Project Alpha recommendations for Europe (pensions, etc.)


Compensation


Lead the migration of the business to a pay-for-performance culture linked to the Performance Management initiative mentioned above

Work with the Total Rewards COE to implement variable pay programs in all of the businesses and all of the geographies

Work with the Total Rewards COE to institute common practices in the administration of compensation programs, consistent with geographical differences and regulatory environments

HR Administration Service


Partner with the Shared Services Centre to ensure all employees within the geography receive a high level of service relating to all HR administration.

Ensure to play an active role in feedback and support to ensure the success of COE deliverables within geography

Coach & advise managers as needed on management and local execution of industrial relations (e.g. disciplinary, grievances, redundancy). Participate / Lead meeting related to this as appropriate.

Review and manage relevant KPI’s for geography and recommend actions / strategies ensuring focus on continuous improvement

What you'll need


Third level qualification mandatory – in Human Resources Management incorporating business management and Industrial Relations

Beneficial but not necessary – MBA or other business degree

Proven track record of experience at a senior level in Human Resources in a medium to large sized organization. Needs to have a good understanding of how matrix organizations work and have a demonstrated ability to work with senior business leaders. Needs also to demonstrate a track record of success and have the ability to manage, grow and develop a team.

Can take complex concepts and convey them to all levels of the business using language that is clear and precise.

Knows how to analyze organizational issues and to build strong and effective relationships with business leaders

Must possess the ability to influence and to push back in situations without a heavy reliance on formal authority

Needs to have a passion for being an integral part of the business

Have the experience and ability to work efficiently in a dynamic global business culture and in an international matrix organization
