Job Title: Regional Marketing Director EMEA, Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD)

Position Location: Europe flexible


What you will do:

The Director, Regional Marketing EMEA, has responsibility for executing regional marketing strategy, campaign planning, execution and all related demand generation activities. The role will act as a key interface with Business Unit Marketing and Commercial resulting in measureable impact on revenue and market share gains. This role is responsible for providing deep expertise and execution on Digital Marketing and e-Commerce initiatives across the entire region and will include: direct marketing, Telemarketing, events (digital and trade shows) and training support as well as collaborate on regional forecasting and goal-setting. This role will also provide regional marketing perspective on market dynamics, competitive opportunities, customer requirements and sales force pipeline needs.


How you will make an impact:

Lead, coach and develop all regional marketing resources in EMEA.

Support CMD’s commercial strategy in EMEA, being accountable for all Marketing metrics and goals in that region.

Accountable for the marketing budget in EMEA for demand generation and growth related initiatives in the region.

Lead the region on developing and executing a Digital Marketing/e-Commerce plan to drive growth in the region, working with IT, Commercial and Business Units.

Collaborate with Business Unit Marketing to develop annual marketing strategy and plans to achieve revenue and pipeline growth.

Manage the commercialization process in EMEA, working together with other Marketing resources, Sales, Communications and Product Managers to support new product introduction.

Support and partner with the marketing and sales team to develop appropriate commercialization strategies and tactics to drive growth, to maximize coverage and penetration.

Execute regional marketing programs targeting segments that drive demand generation, pipeline health and new contacts for CMD.

Implement digital-based nurturing programs and telemarketing campaigns targeted at CMD’s install base as well as cold or unqualified leads to strengthen the pipeline.

Drive ROI performance for key marketing programs and product launches together with Global Marketing Operations.

Provide quarterly market and competitive updates pertaining to technology trends, new products, compelling applications or adjacent market opportunities.

Conduct regional VOC directly or in collaboration with other Marketing teams to assess the impact of product positioning, brand equity, customer satisfaction and marketing effectiveness.

Coordinate QMI input for the Region in partnership with EMEA Commercial VP.

Share best practices, effective regional strategies and high ROI campaign approaches with the global and regional marketing teams around the world.

Actively collaborate with Business Unit Marketing to improve Marketing IQ in EMEA around digital marketing, data analytics and pipeline management.

Lead planning and execution of major trade shows in the region, as well as the annual sales kick-off meeting.

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Interaction with Other Employees:

Frequent contact with Business Unit marketing to drive marketing strategy, execute campaigns, and align on market trends.

Frequent contact with the EMEA Commercial organization to drive marketing strategy, execute campaigns, and align on market trends.

Frequent alignment with BU Marketing to localize and execute vertical campaigns.

Frequent contact with Global Marketing to drive demand generation, digital marketing and strategic marketing activities in EMEA.

Specific Scope Data

Specific metrics for the role will include but are not limited to: AOP targets for the assigned Region, sales ready leads, lead quality, growth, and ROI.


How you will get there:

Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Chemistry; advanced degree preferred.

10 to 15 years work experience in Marketing with deep expertise in digital marketing and demand generation. Prior experience in global and/or regional strategy development.

Strong domain experience and a track record in strategy development, marketing planning, program execution and metrics.

Experience in Life Sciences, Scientific Instrumentation, Pharma, Biopharma or Healthcare highly desired.

Demonstrated results in driving campaign results targeting specific market segments that include web, search, social media, advertising and events.

Ability to travel 30% to 40%.
