Description

Full-time/part-time contract Disrepair Surveyor to work across the South East.

I am currently working with a UK wide family owned surveying practice working within the insurance sector who have been established for 15 years. This company specialises in providing expert reports on insurance related matters, on behalf of solicitors and many UK major Insurance and Loss Adjusting companies.

As a Freelance Legal Disrepair Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out any section 11 single and joint inspections, producing cavity wall defect reports, insurance defect diagnosis reports, schedules of reinstatement and if appointed, you may also be involved with insurance project management.

Maintaining an impartial and unbiased approach, you will firstly establish if there is a valid claim, secondly you will write detailed and accurate reports to be forwarded to the solicitors.

Once you complete your work for the week, you will submit your completed reports to a solicitor and you will be paid the following week. You will not have to wait for legal proceedings to conclude, as your part in the process will be completed. Each survey you will be paid £250, if however the claim is less than £1000 (which is roughly 1in200 surveys) then a flat rate of £100 will be paid. However this is a rarity.

Essential: It is essential to hold MRICS status for this position.
