Controls Engineer- Peterborough


We are currently looking to recruit a Controls Engineer for our client who operate within the process equipment industry. You will be challenged with a great variation of work on a daily basis, which will really help work feeling fresh.


As a Controls Engineer you will be responsible for the specification of parts, identifying machine components, gear boxes and developing modifications of PLCs/HMI software confidently for a multitude of platforms.


Your main duties will include; Cable designs, cable calculations, control panel design, liaising with production on build. This is a fantastic opportunity if you already have PLC programming skills or if you're looking for the opportunity to improve your technical understanding when it comes to software / PLC programming.


Essential Experience:


- Cable designs/calculations
- Design of control panels (sketching not building)
- 2 + years' industry experience within process machinery
- An understanding of PLCs and modifying/fault finding


This position offers a basic salary of up to £40,000 along with a generous benefits package as well as excellent in house training.
