They are now looking for an Engineering Team Leader at their Ripley site who will be instrumental in taking the business forward.
Your new role
You will be leading a team of 2 engineers, working a 3-shift rotation and reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
Engineers are encouraged to be proactive, find and implement improvement ideas and work autonomously.
The team leaders have regular one 2 one meetings with the Maintenance Manager where they can discuss ideas and improvements, plan new incentives and review progress on projects.
There is also an annual appraisal to review objectives, discuss any issues and progress a personal development plan.
Your main duties will include:
- Plan schedule and prioritise work requests
- Create weekly, Weekend and shut down plans
- Attend morning factory communication meeting
- representing engineering.
- Effectively create daily shift reports
- Create reports on down time events
- Research and order parts from catalogues and the internet
- Work with and coordinate contractors on site
- Liaise, communicate and work with other departments
- Balance between hands on work and office-based work
What you'll need to succeed
You are a time-served Maintenance Electrician from a manufacturing/industrial environment.
You can demonstrate excellent fault finding skills on a range of equipment and assets including PLCs.
You have experience of leading a team, delegation and decision making and you are passionate about your work.
You are looking to work for a company who will value your input and give you the autonomy to make decisions and build a highly skilled team.
You will be able to take responsibility for projects and development of the department.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary of between £40k and £44k depending on overtime.
You will also be entitled to 34 days holiday a year (including Bank Holidays). Other benefits include a pension scheme with up to 7% company contribution, health insurance, birthday and Christmas vouchers and tool replacement.
