Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL) are seeking an experienced Supervisor with an Electrical Bias for our HMP the Mount site in the East of England region. You will be responsible for leading and managing the shift to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance.
GFSL is a Ministry of Justice owned non -profit making company who supply facilities management services to c50 prisons over the South of the UK. Most of the works we undertake are within controlled areas and support the safe operation of the prisons. We are looking for an exceptional electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent. It is essential that you have a certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th Edition In addition to this we are looking for someone with at least five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent
As a successful candidate you'll be able to demonstrate that you are a hands-on supervisor with excellent customer relationship skills who would be willing and able to act on behalf of the site manager in his absence, as they will be the only supervisor on site. You will be required to maintain statutory and mandatory compliance, and possess strong health and safety knowledge.
You will have experience of working on electrical building services systems in a commercial or industrial sector. You will be familiar with routine preventative maintenance and reactive works and be able to organise your own workload and work to deadlines. You will have a good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
GFSL are looking for an individual who has a proven track record of working within an FM environment, preferably within a secure environment / military / health sector or similar sector. Having completed a recognised apprenticeship in a facilities / building services trade, or have two years of recognised experience and specialist skills as a supervisor in the facilities sector. Alongside this experience the successful individual should have a knowledge of risk and compliance, demonstrable planning and project management skills and an ability to drive change.
