Mission The EMEA Accounting Manager will be the accounting representative in the region, having the opportunity to build strong partnerships with the regional leadership team and across the globe. You will own the EMEA accounting functions: balancing cash, paying the bills, reimbursing your workmates for out of pocket expenses and accounting for fixed assets, prepaids and accruals. By partnering with our local third-party accounting provider, you will help ensure the monthly financial results are correctly and timely reported in the global consolidated financials. We will want you to be proactive in process improvement and independently own local roll outs of global accounting projects and implementations. You will also be responsible for the statutory audit processes and be a contributor to the consolidated audit. Outcomes
- Become the default go-to accounting contact for EMEA leadership team and employees and third-party accounting provider
- Ensure financial results for EMEA subsidiaries are correctly and timely reported each month
- Ensure audits completed and tax and annual accounts are filed timely
- Successfully roll out any global accounting projects and implementations to the local teams Competencies
- Proven strong partnership and communication skills which will allow you to successfully relate to local and remote teams
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to handle numerous projects and tasks at one time
- Prior experience with month-end close and technical accounting
- Experience with EMEA region GAAPs and US GAAP and SOX
- Flexibility to work with and support teams in different geographic areas
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
- Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- ACA/ACCA/CPA (Big 4 experience preferred)
