Job Title: Engineering Infrastructure Projects Lead 

Location: London

To implement the Global Building Engineering Infrastructure Asset Replacement and Repair Strategy for the bank’s portfolio, providing industry best practise in Mechanical, Electrical and Controls engineering activities, from strategy through design to build and implementation. Capital investment programme value £50-75M per annum.

 
What will you be doing?

Assure the delivery of quality engineering services from the outsourced supply base;
To lead, own, manage and drive delivery of a programme of complex project assignments as determined by Group / Business strategy demand;
Minimise the risk of business interruption through engineering induced failures;
Constantly challenge the supply base to deliver best of breed engineering solutions;
 
 
What we’re looking for:
 
Technical expertise to add value to business requirements through expert advice and support.
An ability to think laterally and strategically in support to the firm.
Knowledge of Engineering product and supply chain globally.
Extensive experience of relevant project delivery experience or experience in running engineering projects and programmes in a multi-site portfolio globally of circa 20M sq. ft. and 1800 facilities
Experience in a senior management role within engineering/facilities
Clarity of thinking and ability to represent key technical solutions in business language
Good knowledge of the Barclays behaviours and ways of working
Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
Risk management
 
Skills that will help you in the role:
 
Management of multi-professional teams and projects.
Experience of delivering engineering solutions across a large portfolio.
Good knowledge of Barclays (or other major financial services institution) and an understanding of the dynamics of strategy, businesses, markets, customers and organisational structure.
Good understanding of best practice workplace solutions and service
Experience, qualifications and other requirements specific to the role

The role is based from One Churchill Place. The Global Headquarters for Barclays in the centre of Canary Wharf.
