The propositions team is at the heart of BT Enterprise and integral in delivering our ambition to cement the #1 market leadership position in B2B communications, with responsibility for delivering propositions that add clear differentiated value for both our customers and our business.

As a Proposition Strategy Specialist you will define and recommend the strategy for the Enterprise proposition team. This role is about understanding where our customers will be over the next few years, and making sure we evolve our roadmap based on those needs.

With strong market, competitor and other external focus, knowledge and insight, you’ll work across all Enterprise product areas to provide analysis, strategy and insight to the Propositions team.

What you'll be doing

•Take input from Group insight on Enterprise customers, markets and competitors as well as Enterprise strategy to understand the enterprise market and identify what are the opportunities are to win market share through the propositions Enterprise should develop
•Develop understanding of how we are represented in the market
•Share analysis with Proposition Portfolio leads to inform detail development of propositions
•Understand where the opportunities are determine and recommend which segments the propositions should be developed. Develop and make recommendation of what the strategy should be to fulfil the market needs
•Develop market segmentation to create complete view of UK B2B market, SOW analysis. Create understanding of the distinct differences across the segments, drivers which differentiate and the impact on how we treat the customers and develop value propositions
•Working with the Proposition Portfolio Leads in identifying where we have gaps and where there are opportunities to bridge gaps
•Working with the Commercial team on segment SOW and how to grow, where to invest across the Enterprise markets
•Use industry forums to understand where the market requirements are and where
•Provide customer solutions and segment market input into strategy papers led from Strategy and Marketing i.e. security, network

•Ability to assess, define and translate market needs into a strategy. Ability to translate insight into actionable proposition development activities

•Ability to influence, develop, drive the strategy into the wider propositions team

•Strong technical appreciation and understanding to track relevant technology developments and assess new proposition opportunities

•Outstanding written and verbal communication

•Excellent skills using Microsoft tools incl powerpoint, excel, ability to translate complex matters and tailor the presentation & messages to the relevant (senior) audience

oWorked in B2B market, demonstrating ability to translate segment needs into strategies and proved to have a sound understanding of this market
oManaged products / services propositions to meet varied customer requirements
oStrategy development, business case development, analytical and commercial experience
oWorked and succeeded in a complex corporate environment

•You will have good stakeholder management experience, having:
oManaged senior level stakeholders
oManaged balance of internal team and supporting team relations
oDemonstrated ability to exert influence to ensure vision is delivered
