Employee Relations Advisor

Division: Human Resources

Location: London Support Centre, Regents Place, NW1 3FG.

We have a fantastic opportunity within the Employee Relations team in London. This role is part of a small specialist team that deals with various incidents that have been escalated from our first line support team.

What you will be doing…

You will work as a consultant, predominantly over the telephone, offering expert advice to Line Managers, HR Business Partners and employees on a range of issues

Fully responsible for interpreting internal policy and process, acting as the key contact for HR and the business on Employee Relations policies and processes

Manage your own case load and ensure resolution is reached within agreed timescales. Whilst dealing with specific cases you will apply best practice and act within the law at all times. Managing your workload may entail occasional attendance at meetings to provide support and guidance in exceptional cases

You will also work with the HR service centre monitoring incidents in order to identify trends in customer enquiries and issues.

You will be involved in completing Subject Access Requests as and when required

Act on behalf of the business with any third party correspondence such as ACAS and Solicitors

You will identify opportunities to simplify process and update the knowledge base

What you will bring…

This role is a great opportunity either for an existing HR Adviser or a Retail Sales Manager, looking to expand your operational HR knowledge and to expand your skills in a Head office HR environment

You will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to engage and gain trust from your stake holders

You will have a proven ability to consult and challenge in a constructive way and the ability to resolve issues in potentially difficult situations

A pragmatic, practical and business focused approach to your work is essential coupled with the ability to assess your own workload and change your priorities at short notice
